A hand-sized, laser-cut medallion shaped as a hexagon and backed with mirrored foil. The design repeats the six-point star lattice that decorated late-Mamluk mashrabiya screens in 15th-century Cairo. Arched ribs and tiny split-leaf (rumi) motifs are picked out with burnished gold and charcoal washes, giving the piece the warmth of old inlaid wood while catching the light like a small piece of jewellery.
