Laser-cut from layered wood and backed with mirror acrylic, this square wall piece blends two classic Ottoman motifs. The centre holds a 16-fold interlaced star rosette—an abstract geometry often painted on 16th-century Iznik tiles—while the four corner spandrels carry flowing rumi (split-leaf) arabesques taken from palace woodcarving. A dotted bead border ties the elements together and lets light sparkle through the cut-outs, evoking the luminous fretwork of an Ottoman pavilion window.
